Tina Jacoby has been a board member since 2014 and has served as at large member and president. She started camping on Rock Island with friends in the 1990's. Tina, along with her husband Gary, and their daughter Sophia, continue to enjoy volunteering on work weekends, July fundraisers, in the lighthouse docent program, camp host program, and many other special projects and events. They live in Random Lake, Wisconsin.

Jim joined the FORI Board at the 2020 Annual meeting and was elected as Vice President in 2024. He has attended Board Meetings and volunteered, along with his wife and daughter, at spring park cleanup events. Jim and his family have also served as Lighthouse docents for many years. Jim lives in McFarland, Wisconsin.

Jeanell has served on the Board since 1994 and is our longest serving Board member. She was elected Treasurer in 1997 and continues in that role. Jeanell serves on our Docent Selection Committee, volunteers at summer picnics and serves as a docent at the Lighthouse each summer. She is from Madison, Wisconsin.

Laura joined the Board in 2024 and serves as Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. She is also a member of the Lighthouse Curator Committee and has been both a Lighthouse Docent and Camp Host with her family. They often help with park cleanup and shutdown weekends as well as at the summer fundraiser. She lives in Mount Pleasant, WI.

Colleen stepped down as Secretary but continues as an At Large member. She joined the Board in 1995 and has served as Vice President, Secretary, newsletter editor, web site and Facebook pages manager. She volunteers, along with her husband Rick Simmons. She lives in Almond, Wisconsin.

Greg stepped down from Vice President in 2024 but continues to serve as an At Large member. He joined the Board in 2017 and has served as Vice President, volunteered as camp host, weekend park coverage, as a Lighthouse docent and helped at many Spring Cleanup Weekends and summer picnics along with his son, Will and his wife, Deanna and has served as our Newsletter Editor. Greg resides in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Margie joined the board in 2015 as a member at large and continues to serve in that role. She organizes our merchandise sales at the Lighthouse, at the contact station on Rock Island and at the Island Adventure Company camp store at the Jackson Harbor Park Office and at all of our special events each year. Margie resides on Washington Island.

Jim joined the board in 2005 as a member at large and continues in that role. Jim serves on our Merchandise Committee and provides weekend park coverage as needed. He served as FORI Newsletter editor from 2013-2015. He has raised thousands of dollars in donations and brought lots of volunteer workers from his clubs for FORI projects and events. Jim lives in Milwaukee, WI.

Vicki was elected to the board in 2012 as a member at large. She serves as the Docent Coordinator on the Docent Committee and has been a lighthouse docent for more than 10 years. She also assists with clean up weekends, the summer fundraiser picnics, and other special projects. She is from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Member of board since 2001, past vice president, Lighthouse Docent and volunteer. Retired and living winters in Cabo San Lucas. He has volunteered at summer picnics, provided weekend park coverage as needed, served as camp host and served as a Lighthouse docent for many years. Randy served as the park employee for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, living on Rock Island. Rock Island is my Passion!

Michelle joined the FORI Board at the 2020 Annual meeting. She has attended Board Meetings, helped FORI prepare our annual tax returns and volunteered as a docent at the Lighthouse Museum for many years. She has loved to backpack to site C for at least 20 years. Michelle is our current Newsletter Editor. Michelle lives in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Dan joined the FORI Board at the 2020 Annual meeting. He has attended Board Meetings and plans to help make new information signs for the park. He has served on the team for our volunteer events and work weekends. He resides on Washington Island, Wisconsin.

Mark joined the FORI Board in 2022 as an At Large member. He coordinates our Camp Host program since its inception, serves on our Merchandise Committee and on the Woodlot Concession Committee. He and his wife, Sarah serve as Camp Hosts each year. Mark lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

Kurt joined the Board in 2024 as a member at large. He serves on the Lighthouse Curator Committee and has been a Lighthouse Docent with his wife a few times. Kurt lives in Glenview, IL.

Jeff joined the Board in 2024 as a Member At Large. He and his wife have served as Camp Hosts on a regular basis. He serves on the Lighthouse Curator Committee. Jeff and Wendy live in Madison, WI.

Brian Grube became Park Manager for Rock Island and Newport State Parks in February 2022. He moved here from Flagstaff Arizona where he worked for the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County in the Parks and Recreation Departments. He enjoys spending time outdoors as an avid mountain biker and sea kayaker. He also enjoys many winter sports. We enjoy working with him on Rock Island.

Eric became Superintendent of Rock Island State Park in January, 2021. He helps to oversee Peninsula State Park, Newport State Park, and Rock Island State Park. He last worked for Washington County where he managed all 14 of their country parks. We are looking forward to a long and beneficial relationship with Eric.
